Developer by trade.
Curious by nature.
Based in Pittsburgh, PA — currently somewhere else.
It started with CSS tweaks on a MySpace page. Most people would call that a hobby. For me, it turned into a career.
After initially studying Communications Media at university, I made the decision to drop out and re-enroll under Computer Science with a Software Engineering track, picking up an Economics minor along the way. That pivot was one of the best decisions I've made.
Nearly 7 years into working professionally as a developer, I'm still as interested in the craft as I was when I was fiddling with font colors on a social media profile. The tools have changed — the curiosity hasn't.
A pretty website is table stakes. What actually excites me is what's underneath it.
I specialize in custom WordPress development — not just the front end, but the backend systems that shape how a team operates every day. Whether that's integrating external APIs, building custom admin workflows, or simplifying repetitive processes that were previously done by hand, I'm drawn to the problems that have a real impact beyond aesthetics.
No two clients are the same, and I genuinely enjoy that. The variety keeps things interesting, and it pushes me to think differently about each project rather than just reaching for the same solution every time.
Pittsburgh is home. The rest of the world is a work in progress.
I've been working remotely for years, which eventually led to asking: why stay in one place? I spent 6 months living in Rio de Janeiro while keeping up with client work full-time. It was one of the more formative experiences I've had — personally and professionally. There's more travel on the horizon.
When I'm not writing code, I'm usually doing something with my hands or my dogs.
My brother and I recently started renovating a house together — which has proven to be its own kind of problem-solving. I play guitar, collect trading cards, and spend more time than I'd like to admit on Xbox. I have two dogs who make working from home significantly better (and a third one who will never be forgotten).
I also take on freelance projects outside of my main work. Partly because I enjoy it, and partly because there's always something new to learn in a side project that you wouldn't encounter otherwise.
If you have a project in mind — or just want to talk through an idea — I'm happy to have that conversation.
